Not something most people would enjoy seeing, but the overall filmmaking here is great. The performances lead by Bill Murray and Scarlett Johanson are incredible. Although this movie is very condensed, director Sofia Coppolla has done a fine job with this. It is humorous, light-hearted, and eye-candy for moviegoers. It is unjustified and doesn't have to be, this is Hollywood at it's most insightful, being able to give us a visual of a prolonging sense of true thoughtful emotion. Most good movies have solid transitions, every image in Lost In Translation is moving and dramatically powerful.
