I wasn't entirely pleased with this adaptation of LUTHER starring Joseph Fiennes who does give a pretty sympathetic performance of the conflicted cleric. What it does do best is show why the REFORMATION of the CATHOLIC CHURCH was top most in the minds of several of the era's great minds. I guess the problem for me was that we studied Luther in detail as part of Church history and therefore the film left not even a single surprise for me. It was as if I had already seen the film.
