This film on Miles Davis is hardly a complete bio-pic; far from it. It is very specific in its scope and concentrates on a memorable detail of the artist's life which lead to significant flashbacks to give us a pretty impressive picture of the man, WARTS and all. The greatest amount of praise for this feature has to go to Mr. Don Cheadle who stars in the pic and is artistically responsible for the entire venture. I must admit I am not nor ever have been a fan of Miles Davis's music. As for the man himself, he was not always that likable or affable. I don't think I would like any bio-pic on Davis as I simply have no empathy for the man from all I have read or heard of him. For Don Cheadle, this was obviously a tremendous labour of love. Sorry for my poor score.
