Don't expect the movie to be unique or extraordinary. The plot is a parody of a pink panther parody! An Old time Sunday "popcorn" movie!! Which is okay! No big expectations and leaves no lingering after taste! However, as long as you accept that it is intended to be a simple "formula" movie --- it works quite well! Depp is repeating his typical over the top "Character" as a Jack Sparrow, Tonto. Complete with raised eyebrows and head tilts. What the heck -- it works! Depp knows this character and presents it in a manner that is entertaining, not offensive or vulgar. Pretty light stuff - plenty of 1960's slap stick! I would recommend it to friends looking for an entertaining night out.
