Difficult to sit through this Japanese horror flick about a mother and daughter and their misadventures. The two leads provide some very good acting in the field of the horror genre. An added bonus is the smart cinematography. The twists and turns can be startling. Though there are good elements to the film, its age (52 years) shows knowingly and the fact that it is in Japanese seemed to bother me somewhat though, in general, I do not mind foreign films. This one bothered me somewhat.
