Open Water

I'm not surprised by all the poor reviews about "Open Water". I too thought that I was going to see something of a Jaws type movie, but of course that wasn't the case. Whenever they show movie previews in the theatres or on tv, I find they can often be misleading. Well, "Open Water" was just one such movie. However, it was not all of a lost to me. There were several scenes worth watching, but mind you they could've done so much more with it... I don't know, maybe have more action and suspence. I also have to agree that this movie was slow going, especially in the beginning, and that the dialogue between the young couple was a bit dry in places. But one thing this "Open Water" was not, was frightening or so I found. Yes, it certainly had it's moments but not enough to really make me jump out of my skin. And one last thing... I have to say that I didn't care for the movie's ending that much... ugg, too depressing. :(.
