This sequel of sorts to True Grit sees a genteel Miss Goodnight daughter of a Minister team up with Rooster Cogburn in exacting justice on a village that was sacked by thugs. The pairing of Wayne and Hepburn was not a very good one. Both were way too old to be playing the parts they had. I would say the protagonists should have been in their late forties or fifties not senior citizens. The film doesn't work well for other reasons, one more being that there just isn't much chemistry between Wayne and Hepburn.
