I really don't understand some of the bad reviews here... Jodie Foster and Terence Howard should both get an Oscar for their performance. They were just brilliant! The movie lets you think about what you'd have done in that same situation and is interesting from beginning until the end. Best movie of that kind I've seen this year!

Thank you for your comment. I got the point. It's about justifying the revenge. But if you think about it for a while, you'll find out it's not only wrong concept but also impossible to carry out. If anybody, including hardened criminals (even criminals have some brains), sees a lonely person like that at night in an empty street, he/she'll know right away that she's up to something and run in the opposite direction. This movie is totally unrealistic and sending the wrong message of fear. And what you fear you will create, therefore BE NOT AFRAID!

Click here to show this comment. Are you talking about the guy in the car with that hooker on the back seat? Well, he thought she was a hooker too because they are the ones on empty streets waiting for someone (because it's illegal) I also don't think that this movie sends out the wrong message. The woman is sick of her fear and therefore kills those criminals. Everyone of them deserved it, too.
