    The Break-Up

I found this film disappointing, even though it was well-made. The real problem is the marketing. I walked into the theatre in the mood for some lighthearted fun and spent the next two hours watching two people screaming at each other. There are a few comic scenes, mostly providing by the supporting characters, but not enough to follow through with the expectation set by the trailers. Ironically, these attempts at comedy keep the film from becoming a honest story of a couple falling out of love. By falling in that grey area between comedy and drama it fails on both counts. My final thought about this film is it would have worked better if the main characters were younger. Their behavior and actions seem extremely immature for characters at that point in their lives.
