    The Equalizer

Taken from the TV series of the same name that ran from 1985-1989, Denzel Washington makes the title character his own as he captures the audience in his turn as Robert McCall. The movie gives us a chance to see that Robert cares about people and respects the law, although he operates outside of the law, administering his own brand of justice upon those who would prey upon the weak. As the Equalizer, Washington is a quiet Tour de force who the audience can cheer for and appreciate. A well cast movie and a good take on the original character played by Edward Woodward in the mid to late eighties. A good movie, well worth seeing.
