I'm afraid that John Travolta's time in the limelight has long disappeared and there really isn't any sense of it springing back to life again with this pastiche of a dramatic thriller. This prison/mob film is too predictable though it does have a moment or two of worth. What truly interested me about The Forger was the work of Tye Sheridan and Abigaile Spencer, of the younger generation and on the flip side, the work of veteran Oscar Winning Octogenarian, Christopher Plummer. It seems this film is going no where at all in terms of being any kind of hit or moneymaker.
