    The French Connection

Brilliant crime thriller of two detectives closing in on an international crime DRUG bust. Gene Hackman took best Oscar Actor and Roy Scheider was nominated in the supporting role. William Friedkin took home best director and the film won top Oscar for 1971. The car chases through New York City were unbelievable. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The film truly envelops a viewer in every way.
