    Click here to show this review.     This movie was described in the local newspaper as brilliant but brutal and I have to agree with the writer. Having not read any of the novels in this trilogy, and finding the synopsis vague, I did not know how this story would unfold. The beginning is slow and drab but it does not take long for the brain to start following along. I thought Rooney Mara was very kind with her actions to the so called Social Worker by allowing him to walk away with a pulse after his brutal treatment, lack of control and poor judgement towards her.
