I saw "The History Boys" on stage with the same cast as the movie. It was so dynamic on stage receiving rave reviews and winning a TONY AWARD for Richard Griffiths. Translating this to the screen was not an altogether pleasant experience as it really does rely on one set for to make it fully come to life. Once the movie opens up being in public, scooter rides and god knows what else, the essence of the fabulous play becomes diluted. Several persons were not taken with the film and gave it a very low score as I will do as it doesn't work well.
