Brilliant comedy written by Mel Brooks in which a pair of Broadway producers plan to make big money on their supposed flop. The film works on every level with zany performances from Zero Mostel who is funny just standing around doing nothing... and the neurotic Gene Wilder, not to mention Kenneth Mars, Dick Shawn and a woman of many, many years, the unbelievable Estelle Winwood. Mel Brooks surprisingly won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay in 1988. However, the script is brilliant!
