"THE VILLAGE" by M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN seemed to be the movie that started writer/director M. NIGHT on his downward spiral, his next movie even worse. The evil outside a village created no sense of urgency in my books, no thrills or horror of any kind. It was a waste of some great talent unable to shine with such a rotten script! My condolences to Joaquin Phoenix, Adrien Brody, Sigourney Weaver, William Hurt, Jesse Eisenberg and the rest of the cast. SHYAMALAN hasn't been heard of since the Last Airbender and we are now in 2015. Some artists only have one good work in them and with M. NIGHT it was THE SIXTH SENSE, a sensational film. Everything else he has done is pretty putrid!
