I think I stopped having faith in Michael Bay two years ago, when I saw Transformers. I wonder why it took me so long, after all the man is responsible for such disastrous movies as Armageddon, Pearl Harbor and Bad Boys II, but I thought, maybe if he stays away from Jerry Bruckheimer things would be different. He almost proved me right with The Island which wasnt great, nor good, but it wasnt that bad either. Two years later, he is back with another Transfomers flick, his baby, and I went expecting to hate it. He proved me right for good this time. The first one wasnt that good, but it was almost kind of fun, even with all the unfunny humor and the preposterous plot. Just take the first one and multiply it by ten. Its ten times unfunnier and ten times more ridiculously plotted. Robots come from all over the place and we have no rights to ask how they appeared there, its even hard to differentiate them, especially when they fight. They have personalities and they can speak. Man I wish they were all broken like Bumblebee. Megan Fox cant act, and she's not even hot in my book, she looks plastic. Shia LaBeouf is slowly running out of charisma, repeating himself again and again and... oh well, lets not waste time talking about the acting. Its bad, just like everything else in the film, except maybe, the visual effects, of course. At times I found myself thinking: 'Man, transformers really do exist', but thats about it, I could dig, and still wouldnt find any more qualities. Terrible would summarize my experience, and its way too freaking long.
