Nobody complains when Sean Connery is a Russian sub commander with a Scottish accent. Un authentic accents are not new. Do some homework, the real Von Stoffenburg and Cruise are identical. We are all uncomfortable with Tom's religious points of view and odd behaviour (Opera) but judge him for the film alone. No sub-plot? Do we really need some pointless love story and mandatory love scene in every film? Bravo to the production team for making the film stand on its own merit.
