War of the Worlds

Absolutely perfect adaptation of the novel. It is because Steven Spielberg did this movie as I'm sure HG Wells would have done it had he been alive in our day. There are maybe 3 things that is different about this movie then the book, (1) setting, (2) how the aliens arrive on earth, and (3) the fact that in the end humans didn't come across either a flying machine or the black smoke (for more info read the novel) This movie also does the next to impossible it captures the same feelings of fear, doom, dread, and hopelessness and we the audience experience all of these from the moment that first tripod emerges. I wont say more about the movie except that if you love the book or the original movie see this you will love it too. These people giving it bad reviews hate it for possibly 2 reasons; (1) never read the story or watched the original movie, and (2) were dissapointed by the ending (of course if you read the book its exactly the same) So please ignore all reviews including this one and just go and see it and judge it for yourself. If anything it is simply amazing to look at and maybe it will encourage you to read the book and then (and only then) will completely understand this movie. Absolutely a must-see, epic, thrilling, masterpiece that will blow you away! 100 out of 10!
