'Women in Love' was released in 1970 not in the 1960's. It is a powerful tale from the pen of D. H. Lawrence. I would say it is one of Ken Russell's better films in which he cuts a swath through English society of his time and slightly before. One will be hard pressed to find a greater performance than that of Glenda Jackson who took home Oscar for her remarkable performance in this British flick. Miss Jackson would win a second Oscar for a comedy, 'A Touch of Class' by the mid seventies in a slightly upset victory, but nonetheless a tremendous performance.
