Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Look the build-up isn't like Marvel which is what I loved... individual flicks for each character. However, this film dark and a little humor amidst the action can make a film strong. The humor has to come natural like it did in "The Avengers" and not like Age of Ultron. Affleck is good as Wayne but lacked the charisma of Keaton and Downey Jr as Tony Stark. Not saying that he had to mimic them but a little more personality would've done him justice... no pun intended.

Loved the Luthor character even if others thought he came off cartoonish. Wonder Woman was terrific in the cameo! Irons was spot-on terrific as Alfred! Cavill continues to do Superman/Clark Kent extremely well IMHO!

I wasn't particularly in favor of how Bruce couldn't see the destruction from Superman's POV and the collateral damage and that IMO still bothers me.  Spoiler alert - click to reveal textNo real form of communication between the two until the battle. 2 years and no communication? However, the action was stellar!

As long as the film was, I never became disinterested and there were a few Easter eggs setting up the upcoming films that made me feel like a 10 yr old again! I think as adults, we have these massive expectations for these films. I'm teaching myself to enjoy it rather than break it down constantly... i. e... Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

That film left so much to be desired and didn't fill the necessary satisfaction an older adult would want from the old saga. As a DC fan, they stayed loyal to the comics and that made me a very, very happy man!
