I enjoyed the first half of this picture, there was some great camera work especially the aerial shots of the helicopters, but the last half I felt was like watching someone play a video game. You know, one of those relentless shoot-em-up games that cost you a quarter to play for a few minutes. Unfortunately this shoot-em-up goes on an on for over an hour and it gets kind of grotesque and almost silly. At the end, the film credits stated that over a thousand Somalis died in the battle but director Ridley Scott did not need to film every one of those deaths plus what looked like at least a thousand more to make his point.
