Ordinary people doing ordinary things. Not usually a good premise for a film. The film is worth seeing for the length of time and the sweet, natural acting of the main character. Nothing actually happens but the depiction of the life of a struggling, upwardly mobile family. The enormous problem of alcoholism wrecking ordinary lives feels very real.
