    By Sidney Lumet

No one can deny that director Sidney Lumet was a great, influential director during the second half of the 20th century. His films, with the exception of a few, are proven triumphs, highly entertaining films that will live forever. Though nominated as best director by the Academy several times, he never won in competition but received a Special Oscar a few years before he passed. There is a twofold greatness to this doc, Nancy Buirski's point of view and that of Sidney Lumet himself whom we see in a never before shown interview. If one is not too familiar with the Lumet work, you will know him well by film's end what with all the film clips, various interviews and the man in his own words.
