An epic which will be much more appreciated with modern technology applied to the presentation. The sets are magnificent, the costumes timely. The acting is solid, and I found the dialogue to be meaningful. Richard Burton appeared out of place physically when he mingled with the muscle bound guards et al; but when given dialogue he was the extremely capable orator. Elizabeth Taylor, 5 years younger than Marilyn Monroe, had already established herself as both a screen beauty and an actress, something Ms. Monroe was never able to do. A good movie, worth seeing.
