I liked the casting, good jobs by all. Albert Brooks fine in a velvet hammer role. Gosling simmers along, and Carey Mulligan sells her bit, the script leaves them too empty tho'.. Many holes in plot the long calculated pauses gave time to explore the gaps. Had more pace than "The American" , or Warhol's "Sleep", but not a barn burner. Film Noir and trying hard.
