Gone Girl is definitely an "arm of the seat gripper" movie. Twists and turns and gasps throughout. The acting is superb, the leads are amazingly acted and the woman doing the "Nancy Grace" imitation has her voice, mannerisms and snarky facial expressions down perfectly. (Just as irritating and grating as the real thing, believe me!) The almost 2 1/2 hours flew. So why the "6" rating? The ending is completely implausible and absolutely unsatisfying. I felt cheated after having invested so much energy and emotion in the storyline. That said, it was a helluva ride and well worth the price of admission.
