This was actually a good movie until about the third act. The story goes almost completely off the rails with regards to believability and logic, and hence my fondness for the whole film. I’m sorry, there’s just no way law enforcement would ignore the key facts presented in this story. The story lends itself to people who need the fantasy to escape a situation they are in under their own power. And that’s fine and all, but the story presented here just does not sell the idea in a way that I feel an intelligent person could believe is plausible. Add to this the ungodly length, and the ENDING (horrible), and you get yourself a movie that you should go out of your way to avoid.
