This documentary is another masterpiece by the great Albert Maysles. His subjects are so comfortable with him, that you - the viewer - are on the inside with his subject (s) and not on the outside looking in. It would be impossible not to fall in love with Iris and her husband while watching this film. They have an enviable, committed, livelong partnership. They love, like and respect each other and it was inspiring to see a happy couple onscreen without the usual definition of partnership, ie, 2.1 spoiled kids, a dog and minivans parked in their suburban driveway, etc. It was thrilling to see/hear Iris's thoughts on life, creativity, fashion, design and her joie de vivre has inspired me immensely. She is the most beautiful - inside and outside - 87 year old "It Girl" I've ever seen!
