As a science fiction fan, I had high hopes for this this movie. Wow, was I disappointed! A very inept effort from the Wachowskis. If they had only considered not making it in 3D, that might have helped. This movie had some of the worst 3D imaging that I have yet to see in a major release. The action sequences were a muddled mess; an onslaught of blurred 3D effects that made it all but impossible to enjoy what was going on. During the first action sequence fought over downtown Chicago I was actually tempted to take off my 3D glasses - the sequence was giving me a headache it was so badly done. For brief periods of time there was some chemistry between Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum, but then the action or fighting would start again and we were back to the silliness that plagued this whole movie. I saw this movie at a big screen preview, but not in Imax or Ultra AVX. I wonder if that would have helped. Probably not!
