I was surprised to see Nichole Kidman in this flick. Overall it is a simple romantic comedy. No surprises. Although I didn't find any moments that caused me to laugh, there were several people in the audience who had a good time and laughed often. I think that the target audience is over 30. The child actors were good although the girl was a bit over-the-top. Adam Sandler is just playing himself as usual, much like Seth Rogen is, in his assorted movies. The formula is an old one. I was left to wonder why on earth Sandler would pass on the young goddess who was impeccable both physically and emotionally. But you know what is going to happen before the movie even starts.
