Bhery Good Che! When I first heard that it was a movie about 3 friends, I thought Hmpphhh... Again? Why is it that women's friendships have not been tackled in Hindi cinema? But I digress. Refreshing to see a movie about normal young people, their aspirations and the confusion that young men (people) in India feel as they constantly try to strive to make a living, open a business or get a job. The casting is brilliant - The business minded 'proper' Gujarati guy, the rebel who could not make it to the Indian Cricket Team because of nepotism and the Hindu fundamentalist. The story is set against the Gujarat Riots. The obsession for Cricket is woven into the movie and captures obsession for the game quite well. The problem - The movie has been criticized for not... er... naming the actual perpetrator of Gujarat riots and pretending cricket can save all. There is much in that criticism but this is mainstream Bollywood... can't expect it to be our inner voice.
