'La Loi du marché' is a sympathetic picture of alienation as a middle aged man begins work as a security guard for a food chain. It's too bad the title in English was changed to something prettier and bland, a title quite unacceptable as we encounter very specific emotional storms as the film unfolds. The ordinary cold brutality of what it means to be defined by the unpaid and the radically underpaid literally screams out in this feature. Director Brizé hits the mark as one individual's story is transformed into a social tragedy. If you love to witness great acting catch this feature with VINCENT LINDON who won the Best Actor Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015.
