Interesting and eye-opening story of behind-the-scenes progress of the Who from little-known "bargain basement" band to highly successful "loudest band in the world" under the supervision of two very smart managers. That the whole thing worked was clearly due to an amazing formula of energy, drive, talent, and intuition. Interviews with Chris Stamp (brother of actor Terrence Stamp), Roger Daltry and Pete Townshend clearly reveal that these people are truly exceptional in their field. Note the sad eyes in closeups of Pete Townsend. One wonders what may be going on behind them. The main drawback is the composition and the editing. For example there are too many background rapid-fire clips presented behind the interviewees (this was particularly noticeable in interviews with the aging Chris Stamp) which created scenes that were chaotic and detracted from what the subject was saying.
