Yuck. This is the word that comes first to mind when I think of how to describe Looper. Like so many movies coming out of Hollywood, this one expects you to get behind a person who is, essentially, a sociopath. Levitt's character is a murderer, a junkie, a self-centered wretch whose foul life choices come back to bite him in horrible, tragic fashion. Selfishness and violence are the prime motivators for Levitt's and Willis' character in this film, which makes the ending of the film utterly incongruous and preposterous. I am very tired of the anti-hero - it's become a very tedious cliche. Stay clear of this stinker!
