Meet The Spartans is more stupid than funny and appears to be aimed at Young teen boys who think homo jokes, bodily function gags and Carmen Electra's sexual innuendo is all great entertainment. It's odd, considering that the movie it parodies was R rated and they shouldn't have seen it... certainly the gaggles of boys at our theatre seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. There were lots of pre-teen kids there with their parents too... I can't imagine why, except that some people must think that any movie that isn't R-rated must be okay for little kids. This was a very bad guess in this case. A serious attempt at parody would have been a lot more fun, but probably over the heads of the target audience. Still, it had its moments, so it wasn't a complete waste of time. Don't leave immediately when the end credits start to roll... there are several minutes of sight gags and dumb jokes in the middle.
