If you love Paris, la belle époque and Woody Allen scripts and direction, you will be in heaven watching this film as I was. If you haven't been to Paris, you may find yourself wanting to go there as soon as possible; yes, it's that amazingly beautiful, just as shown in this film. If you don't know the central artistic figures from Paris of the '20s, you will not feel strongly connected to many of the important personages. If you don't like Woody Allen films, don't start trying to like them with this one. If I could turn back time, not all the way back to the '20s, just back 2 or 3 decades, I'd love to have Woody himself playing the main character even though Owen Wilson did do a superb job. Adrian Brody as Dali is captivating as is Kathy Bates as Gertrude Stein.
