Any Cheadle or Davis fans must see this interesting (not necessarily good) film. They're the only ones, I imagine, who could make sense of the always shifting time lines, or enjoy the choppiness and avant garde pacing of the film. There were simply too many things left unexplained for those not inimately aware of his body of work or the pecadilloes of his life. It seems to me this film represented only a small part of Davis, so I don't feel like I really learned much about him. Good try at originality, though. The soundtrack was certainly worth going for.
