A slight madcap comedy which held no particular interest for me. Loretta Young and Jean Harlow played the leads with Young coming up on top by a country mile. Jean Harlow was rather poor in the role of the Platinum Blonde and I never cared for her as a bona fide actor. Leading man Robert Williams is anything but a leading man type, a shortish, out of shape actor I was surprised got that plumb role... In today's terms he would be relegated to nothing more than some minor supporting role. I did not like his performance at all. The early sound machinery made it a very uncomfortable fit and most of the performances were bad due to a ridiculous script. I couldn't wait till the film was over. I only saw it in reverence to Franck Capra who could not do much better with what was available to him at Columbia Studios with talkies just a few years old.
