A classic, well known film of the very worst kind starring Miss Zsa Zsa Gabor at her worst!
This 1958 disaster was shown on Turner as part of their Friday night lineup of sci-fi and horror films. Well here it goes, if you can believe this outlandish rubbish! American astronauts, led by Eric Fleming are drawn by some mysterious force to the planet Venus which they find to be inhabited only by dynamic beauties and their despotic queen. This potboiler has got to rank as one of the most ridiculous of all outer space movies. The dress of the women and their queen, the cheap looking set design and the god awful acting by everyone made a wonderful movie to sneer at, not to mention one that gives the audience a belly full of laughs at the expense of this mockingly disastrous adventure. I was shocked to read that one of the writers was the great Ben Hecht who in the 30's and 40's was on top of the world.
