    Salmon Fishing in the Yemen

When I first heard the title of this movie, I thought; how absurd! But the uniqueness and mundane sounding title also attracted me; a twist from most movies. The picture, based on a book which I would love to read, is a metaphor for life itself, in all its humanity. We see and feel faith, wisdom, dreams coming to reality, envisionment and love. The backdrop scenery is beautiful in all its color, mountains, valleys and crystal clear waters. The movie will make you laugh (especially Kristen Scott Thomas), shed a tear and listen with wonder and heartfelt emotion. The shiekh captivates you with his wisdom. It really did surprise me and there was always one fish that swam in a new direction, proving that where there is faith, anything is possible.
