    Secrets And Lies

Oscar Nominated BRENDA BLETHYN might have lost the Oscar to Frances McDormand in FARGO, but in SECRETS and LIES she gives one of the most startling, beautiful, touching dramatic performances you are ever likely to see on the screen. You feel the extreme pain, anxiety and guilt of this woman in every frame. The reality of this film literally put me over the edge and proved to me conclusively that Hollywood is incapable of making great films about ordinary people. The family situation develops into something so critically charged that it is painful to watch so moved are we to every emotion that comes our way non stop. I truly wonder how you will take the dénouement of this extraordinary film after the turbulence we have been put through. What/HOW will you FEEL with what the characters and we, the spectators, have been through?
