    Six Degrees of Separation

I first saw Six Degrees of Separation on Broadway also starring Stockard Channing who was Tony nominated for 'SIX', possibly winning. She was Oscar nominated for Six Degrees the movie, in a lucky move that allowed her to repeat her Broadway performance, which rarely happens. She was absolutely astounding on stage as she was in the movie, the BEST cast member. The person who gave this movie a "6" score obviously had no idea what this film was about, but still gave it a six. I believe I understood the movie very well but won't be rating the film much higher as it worked best as a Broadway play though the film was acceptable.

It might start with finding a stranger asleep in your Upper East Side N. Y. Penthouse... the Will Smith character, a very untrustworthy character. The movie goes on to show a wealthy's family dynamic including the life of their college son, all in a situation which becomes quite disconcerting. The rich are blessed with having much money but as is shown in this caper they aren't necessarily the brightest and most astute of persons. Besides this, the movie goes on in great detail to cover the world of ART, the upper crust of New York Society as well as painting a remarkable portrait of New York itself. AND THEN THERE'S THE WHOLE NOTION of what the title means and what it entails. You should know, if not, figure it out! The entire outcome is truly something you are not expecting! WOW!
