Starts with a bang. Ends with a whimper.
Well, in the beginning it was everything we've come to expect from a James Bond flick - exciting high paced action, tongue in cheek dialogue, bloody fight scenes and fabulous locations. And then about half way through, with the advent of a pretty young blonde with zero charisma, one loses all interest _ love or otherwise. Even Christopher Waltz is subdued as Blofeld ( no doubt missing his Lotte Lenya sidekick) and sorry to say, because he is a superb actor, rather lack lustre. Parts of the plot are even more obviously contrived than usual. Audiences are willing to suspend disbelief for the sake of a good story, but by the last half hour most of the audience were looking at their watches. When the final explosion of the MI6 headquarters occurs, one couldn't care less. Nor it would seem did Daniel Craig. He may have disliked acting in this currently overrated action pic, but as one of the executive producers, he's laughing all the way to the bank. I'm glad I only paid 5 dollars.
