Spectre tries too hard to be a Bond movie, using old formula tactics, such as exotic cars, locales and women, to create a mythical character known as James Bond. The movie, in its own right, is a very good action film, probably deserving an 8 or 9. But as a James Bond movie, it lacks soul. I found it interesting and engaging when it didn't take itself too seriously... it is Bond, James Bond... after all.
