Good film... based on the true events - if you are hoping to see the emotional turmoil that the victims endured, there is not a whole lot of that... the focus was on the cover up & the urgency to break the story... not to mention the enormous response they received, when they finally put it out there. The film is told more from the viewpoint of the reporters, than those who endured the horrendous abuse at the hands of these priests. We get to see just how pervasive it all was & may very well, still be. SPOILER: I like the line in the film, where Michael Keaton confronts one of the lawyers assigned to defend the pedophiles... could be 2 stories to print, "one about degenerate clergy or one about a bunch of lawyers turning child abuse into a cottage industry"... both equally valid statements. Good acting by all... good topic... good film...
