Tonight, warranted just a light and funny piece of work and that is just what I got, along with a very heartfelt and well paced film. But this movie far surpassed my expectations in so many ways. Bill Murray was at his best; a truly seasoned performer deserving of an Oscar for this picture. Even his accent was truly convincing along with his portrayal of a character of complexity and goodness. Chris O'Dowd always captivates me, both comedically and dramatically and because the script was so well written, his lessons of the day drew you in, finally climaxing in a surprising but powerful ending. Young "Oliver" provided this triumphant surprise with everything necessary for this most thought provoking part of the film. The cast was superbly chosen, each portraying a character that could make you laugh, listen intently or shed a tear or two. Don't miss this one as it's sure to entertain you with striking balance and you can sing along with the great musical nostalgia of an era. Films like this just don't come along every day!
