This film is perhaps a critique of all documentaries ever made. Ms. Polley lets us know that doc's are primarily opinion, honesty is subjective, the editor chooses what is to be included and what is to be left on the cutting room floor. Plus, the document's validity is always dependent on the surfacing of any subsequent information. I disapprove of a critic's use of quotation marks, but here goes ~ the phrase "asshole", as expressed by Ms. Polley herself, cements the credibility of this family relationship.
