I am a big fan of Marvel Comic movies, but The Avengers was a big disappointment. The storyline was really weak and frankly, didn't make much sense most of the time. The whole movie came down to special effects and fighting scenes, which just kept repeating over and over. I really loved Robert Downey Jr in the original Iron Man, but his character and the related effects in this movie were just so tired and repetitive. The movie had way too many characters, with little focus on any of them. As for the 3D, the same old, same old. All the emphasis on 3D effects, but no emphasis on character development or storyline. By the end of the movie, I couldn't wait to get out of the theatre.

Sorry to hear that buds. I guess it's not everyone's cup of tea. But speaking as someone who wants someone more than mindless action out of their summer blockbusters (and absolutely HATED Transformers 3), this was actually very well done.
