This was just a blast. Who knew this incredible, unimaginable world starting in the early part of the 20th century would turn into Ice Shows of the greatest variety and of multiple companies. It later grew into watching the greatest World and Olympic Medalists. It's unbelievable I never saw a SINGLE show, but this film by Keri Pickett, inspired by her uncle Roy Blakey, a great skater and collector opened my eyes to this glamorous world that is, in North America, all but disappeared, one more memorable glory of the past. Hard to believe the love and beauty put into every show from the huge stars of each era to the supporting players! How sad so many are now gone, never to see the likes of them again. Those of the shows and the millions who attended will always have this magical kingdom tucked away by their heart. CAN'T BELIEVE I NEVER ONCE ATTENDED THESE FABULOUS REVIEWS! I'm of the generation to have witnessed it disappear slowly but surely, all of it pretty well gone by 2005. Would that I had the chance today!
